ANZAC Art

We created this awesome Poppy Art in the last week of term one to show our respect to the ANZAC soldiers. Room 4 is really proud of our art! We hope everyone had a good ANZAC day with their families.

Massage Circle

This afternoon we did something a bit different in Room 4. One of the reading groups had read a book called At the End of the Day about a class who had a massage circle so we decided to try it. First we massaged each others backs by drawing rain, clouds, lightning and words with our fingers, then we all leaned forward and gave each other a hug and at the end we all leaned back on each other. It was lots of fun and and good way to end the day!

Our New Special Friend in Room 4

Meet Mr Fluff! This is Room 4's special bear. He is super soft and loves cuddles. From next week he will get to go home with the VIP each day and they can write a story about the adventures they have with him.

Foamy Fountain

This week in Room 4 we were scientists! We did an experiment in class called Foamy Fountain. To do the experiment, we mixed Vinegar, Food Colouring and Dishwashing Liquid together then we added some Baking Soda. It exploded everywhere and made heaps of rainbow colours. We thought it looked like a smoothie or ice cream but it smelt a bit yukky!

Plant Flip Books

For the past couple of weeks Room 4 has been carrying out an Inquiry into plants. We had to watch videos on the blog and write down facts we learned. We discovered how plants grow, what the parts of the plants are called and what they are for as well as lots of other interesting facts. Then we made these amazing Flip Books with all our facts in. We are super proud of our Plant Flip Books! Make sure you come and have a read.

Plant Inquiry

This week you are carrying out an Inquiry into How Plants Grow. You need to watch the videos then write down the facts you learned about the different parts of the plant and how they help to make the plant grow. Enjoy learning about plants!

Book Character Dress Up

Today was a book character dress up at school. Wow! I was so impressed with everyone's costumes. Instead of the usual Room 4 kids we had Elsa from Frozen, Little Red Riding Hood, a minion, Star Wars characters, Judy Hopps, Captain America and many more! Check out our crazy looking class in all their costumes.
